Our Willard C. Byrd designed gold course at Timberlake Country Club is a picturesque layout which trails along the shores of Lake Murray and through the Timberlake Plantation community. Many golfers call Timberlake "the best layout in the Midlands." The course mixes right and left doglegs, flat and hilly, and puts water in play on seven (7) of its 18 holes. From the tips of the course measures 6579 yards and over 5000 yards from the forward tees. The slope ratings reflect the challenge of Timberlake, 139 from the back tees and 119 from the forward tees. Only two holes, number 10 and 18 are parallel.
Beech Creek Golf Club is nestled in the historic “High Hills of the Santee” and opened for play in 1989. Fresh air fills your lungs in a setting located outside the hustle and bustle of town. The course is located on the the site of “The Battle of Beech Creek” and is the most scenic piece of property in Sumter County, with elevation changes which allow for views that go on for miles. Unless the jets at nearby Shaw AFB are flying, you will be in for a completely serene atmosphere. Playing at 6805 yards from the tips, Beech Creek offers an outstanding collection of golf holes that are both challenging and fair. The course is highly regarded as the best conditioned and most challenging in the area. Located 2 ½ miles from Shaw Air Force Base, ten minutes from Sumter and 35 minutes from downtown Columbia, the capital city, Beech Creek has easy access to I-20, I-95 and US 76/378.
The 18-hole Indian River Golf Club in West Columbia, SC is a semi-private golf course that opened in 1992.
